 This high quality Taber Abrasion Tester for evaluating resistance to abrasion of a wide variety of materials through the measure of volumetric loss of a specimen exposed to the action of a normalized abrasive medium secured to a rotating disc.

The Model 5135 and 5155 is manufactured according to the specifications and requirements set forth in ASTM D3884 and D4060, additionally following standard test tables are availables.

This Taber Abrasion Tester features the rotation of the test specimen while it is in contact with the rotating disk. This assures uniform contact of the test specimen to the abrasion medium and provides more reliable, accurate and meaningful test determinations.

The Model HT8360 includes 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg reference weights. This “bench top” tester features highly automated “test cycling”, is equipped with conveniently mounted instrument controls and a highly reliable motor/drive assembly. Optional abrasive wheels, for testing versatility, and a vacuum cleaner are available.

Taber Grinding Wheels are available in many levels of abrasiveness to suit a wide range of material testing applications. Wool felt or rubber wheels are used to test delicate materials such as dental powders. Wheels of abrasive particles in a matrix of rubber or vitrified clay are used for less delicate materials.
