Model 401 features a distillation
column and the associated equipment required for the separation
of propane from a multi-component flow stream. It allows the
user to note the effect on product yield of adjusting any of the
column pressure and temperature parameters. The feed composition,
pressure and temperature may all be adjusted by the user, in order
to assess the performance of the system. Pop-downs of component
breakdowns are available at key locations an the plant, thus enabling
the efficiency of the column to be related to the operating conditions.
The model includes 10 faults that may be introduced on a timed scenario,
it includes procedural requirements for pump starts, and in addition
to the normal running state, may also be started from an inerted,
ambient temperature situation |

Model 402 features a complete separation train for crude oil. Oil exits from up to five wells through a manifold system.. This includes a facility for test separation, or for the stream to be connected to a train of HP, MP and LP separators. Included is the gas takeoff to a knock-out drum, the oil takeoff to a pump, and a water exit to a pump. Each well may be connected in separately, and each exhibits different composition and flow characteristics. Model Components 3 Phase Test Separator |

Model 403 featues two separate
oil wells from subsea through to two surface vessels - a slug catcher
and a test separator. Each of the well outputs may be
directed to either vessel, and each exhibits different composition
and flow characteristics. Gas lift control via choke valves enables
the risers?flows to be brought on-line from a shut-in starting point.
A slugging characteristic (pipeline separation of oil/gas/water)
may also be introduced into the surface vessel feed line compositions.

Model 404 features a single stage fixed speed centrifugal compressor. The compressor may be operated using Hydrocarbon gases, or may be cold started from a pressurised N2 situation. Compressor loading is controlled by adjusting the suction and discharge pressures, and the inlet temperature. User pop-ups allow a switch-over from N2 to HC gas, and also to run the simulation with alternative displays of pressure units. A graphical display shows the value of adiabatic head against the flow. centrifugal compressor. The ratio of Hydrocarbon gases may be adjusted,
and the compressor may be cold started from a pressurised N2 situation.

gas composition, controller PID settings and valve CV’s. 1 Variable speed compressor |

Model 406 features a two stage reciprocating compressor. The compressor may be cold started from a pressurised N2 situation. User pop-ups allow a switchover from N2 to HC gas, and for alternative displays of pressure units. Compressor flow is controlled by adjusting the ratio of clearance volume to swept volume. The control output to the recycle valve can be switched between outputs from three different pressure transducers. A first stage valve leakage fault may be injected Model Components 1 Two stage reciprocatingcompressor |

Model 407 features a two stage centrifugal compressor which is running on a single shaft. Each stage has its own antisurge control system. The ratio of Hydrocarbon gases may be adjusted, and the compressor may be run up from a closed-in recycle situation. Individual head curves are displayed. The compressor feeds a pipeline, whose length may be set between 0.5 and 200 km. The source pressure and the pipeline discharge pressure may be set over a wide range. Alternative displays of pressure units are also available. Model Components Two stage variable speedcompressor |

Model 411 features a refrigeration system that operates using propane to condense the overhead product of a de-ethaniser column. The process fluid flows through the tube-side of the overheads condenser. The refrigerant circuit starts at the Flash Drum. This feeds the condenser, where the refrigerant boils off, cooling the process fluid. The refrigerant vapour is compressed via a Centrifugal Compressor, then passes through an Air Cooler into the Refrigerant Receiver, and feeds through a Refrigerant Subcooler before entering the Flash Drum. The flow rate and temperature of the column top product is adjustable to allow a variable loading of the system. The model includes procedures to start the compressor system, including permissive start routines. The system includes 7 control valves, 7 temperature indicators, control of the Air Cooler louvres from Receiver pressure, and a limited ESD system. The model includes full trending of the process temperature, pressure and flow variables. |
