CCSi features this quality NBS Abrasion Tester for evaluating resistance to abrasion of vulcanized rubber or other compounds, generally used for the soles and heels of footwear, through the measure of volumetric loss of the specimens exposed to the action of a normalized abrasive medium secured to a rotating cylinder. The NBS Abrasion Tester is manufactured according to the specifications and requirements set forth in ASTM D1630. The Model HT8621 NBS Abrasion Tester features high quality pneumatic, gauge, and drive mechanisms that assures more reliable, accurate and meaningful test determinations. The rotating drum assembly is designed for ease of disassembly to facilitate the replacement of the abrasion medium. A removable basin, that does not require drum removal, is situated below the drum to facilitate removal of the abraded material. The Model HT8621 NBS Abrasion Tester is a “bench top” tester featuring a 6 digit electronic counter, conveniently mounted instrument controls and a highly reliable motor/drive assembly. |
