 1. WHAT IT IS FOR:

   Hand Abrasion by simulation of human contact imitating force,    contact angle, smear  geometry finger texture and chemical    effects.

   Any product, component or material (plastic, metal, leather,     paper...) of any shape  may be tested. 

 2. ADVANTAGES:

 - repeatable & reproducible results due to standardized

   testing procedure as per IEC 68-2-70 / DIN EN 60068-2-70

 - flexibility of the instrument leads to universal usage

 - real-life abrasion including chemo-mechanical effects as

    opposed to    other tests such as abrasive wheels, flat rub and

    scuff

 - ABREX is used for CE-certification and needed for quality

    control

3. MEASUREMENT:

 - mechanical:       the natural movement during hand-abrasion is simulated

 - chemical:           realistic chemical operating conditions by using standardized testing liquids

                              such as  artificial sweat, handcreams, cleaning products etc.

 - durability test:     up to 10 million test cycles

 - functional test:     simultaneous during abrasion testing (switches etc.)

 - simulation of hand abrasion on smooth, curved & structured surfaces
